Removing the walls between the kitchen and the living room allowed the residents of this Oakland Hills home to create a functional area, which combines an island that incorporates a cooktop within a limestone slab, leaving room for additional seating.  With the existing brick and masonry wood-burning oven as an accent, mahogany cabinets were installed to integrate the open-ceiling beams, with the multi colored glass tile used as a backsplash.  To finish this rustic look, the existing hardwood floors were refinished to a natural color to enhance the welcomed brightness of the room.

With the lights of San Francisco as a backdrop, this Saint Francis Woods English Manor style home incorporates cabinets finished with a soft glaze, stainless steel appliances and hood, unique tile splash with inserts from Import Tile.  The greenhouse window provides excellent light, emphasizing the beautiful marble countertops.

Located in the Montclair District of the Oakland Hills, this late 1950’s spacious home was in need of a modern update that included appliance installation of a double-oven, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a lower base built-in microwave, dishwasher, and a under mount sink, all in stainless steel.  New cabinetry was added to complement the appliances and the tongue & groove hardwood floors that stretched into other parts of the first and second floors for continuity.  The custom soffit was wrapped in sheetrock and the hood extended approximately 8-feet upward, with colorful tile accents as a border.  The depth of the peninsula contains a steel plate for stabilization, which holds an elegant slab of dark green granite countertop, producing additional seating space while entertaining.

This Piedmont, California Spanish style home outwardly showcases custom cabinets with a knotty alder distressed finish, and a maple finish inside.  Heavy-duty hardware completes this look on the drawers and the pantry, with added 6-inch depth for the lower base cabinets, allowing for a lovely floral arrangement behind the apron front sink fixture.   The gorgeous custom made hood is wrapped in interior stucco, complemented with Walker Zanger tile, and granite countertops.   An ideal kitchen for the gourmet cook, we incorporated the Wolf stove, Sub-Zero refrigerator and built-in microwave as just a few appliances to make entertaining enjoyable for years to come.

The highlight of this custom kitchen focuses on the intricate details of the stunning parquet wood floor, designer tile and countertops from Walker Zanger, complimenting the charming old world crown molding.  In a gorgeous color palette of beige, honeysuckle, and brown that pairs well with the wooded surroundings of the foothills in Orinda, California, this custom kitchen brings out the gourmet cook in everyone.

Backed up to a lagoon in beautiful San Mateo, California, this kitchen was completely gutted and required structural engineering plans that included the addition of supporting columns.  With the installation of hardwood floors in the kitchen, a continuous space was developed that extended into the spacious family room, giving the customer a warm and open living space.  The recessed lighting brightens up the rooms, focusing on the built-in stainless appliances and wine cellar, fully complimenting the framed backsplash tile from The Tileshop.
